For Father's Day

Been really busy, but had to make my Father's Day card for my lovely Dad so put some numbers on so I could double it up for Sunday Stampers!

Used lots of distress ink and a tape measure (with numbers) stamp for background, the cogs are a new cuttlebug folder (treated myself last week). The tartan is done with alcohol inks and over stamped with paperartsy gentlemen (has got numbers on too).

Hope he likes it!

I'm forever torn.......

Not much time but had a go at a distressed men's card with a torn background - used lots of distress inks and metal bits!

Red sky at night.....

This week I did more playing with alcohol inks (cranberry, butterscotch and lime) then stamped over the top with white embossing powder. The edges are distressed and inked with black archival. Think alcohol inks are currently my favourite products!

Gold Dreams.

I have been playing with alcohol inks this week - difficult to see in the photo but used gold with wild plum and stonewashed in the spolsh, swirl and smooch technique (not sure what it called really). Then stamped dreamy girl with archival ink. The flowers are die cut metal coloured with gold alcohol ink!

Where's my keys....

This week I covered a box for my Dad. It's covered with paper, stamped with Prima postage stamps, then stressed with Walnut Distress Ink.
I needed it to be flat and practical so glued some diecuts on that had been coloured with pro-markers then covered with Glossy Accents, before varnishing.
Hopefully he will use it for important things such as keys......

Free as a bird...........

This challenge to make anything stamped was really hard because there are just too many choices of stamps.
So after lots of thought (and a day off work), I stamped using TH Distress Powder, TH Distress Inks, Perfect Pearls and good old Archival.
The green panel with lock represents freedom, the blue panel represents the key to freedom (with one of Hel's beautiful roses) and the orange is free as a bird.
Can't wait for next weeks challenge!

Five for Silver

I was thinking about the Magpie rhyme and lots of beautiful shiney silver things. For the base I used the new TH ornamental plate and keyhole along with ten second studio metal.
